In the early period of 16th century, the French soldiers and the pirates had already used them to carry their weapons when they were climbing the boat by the climbing rope. Nowadays, the lanyards have been changed a lot, and they are applied in many careers. They are popular as a craft and also as security device in different companies. 

There are a lot of companies using the lanyards to distinguish the different corporate social responsibilities of their staffs in the companies.

In a company or an activity, the lanyards are usually used as the ID badges or the badge lanyards. Because the different color of the lanyards would show the different responsibilities of the wearer. In some activities, the holder would give their customers an off-white lanyard, which is standing for the Customer Identity. Most of these lanyards are the cute lanyards or the cool lanyards. And in some design companies, their designer lanyards would be the pink lanyards. What’s more, most of the lanyards are badge lanyards.

And there are tips about lanyard. Most of the lanyards are design with the Möbius loop, because it would make the information card would not turn around and around when you are working. So that your information could be seen easily.
